Beverly Dunaway became Henderson County's Circuit Court Clerk in 2007. She was appointed by the County Commission upon the death of long-time Clerk, Kenny Cavness. Ms. Dunaway had served as Chief Deputy Clerk for several years under Mr. Cavness. Ms. Dunaway then was elected to this position in 2008.

Beverly is a native Henderson County citizen. She attended Beaver Elementary and Lexington High School, both Henderson County schools. Beverly has two sons, Shane Dunaway and Jordan Dunaway. She is also blessed to have a grandson, Avery Dunaway. Ms. Dunaway has attended Bible Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 36 years.

When not at work or church, she is sure to be seen at a local sporting event, especially if her family is involved!

Traffic Tickets

Legal Document Your ticket is a legal document that charges you with a violation. If you receive a ticket or citation, you are required to take certain action.

Fines

The officer who issued the citation/ticket should have written the amount of your fine and costs on the back of your ticket.

If an officer DOES NOT show an amount, then you MUST APPEAR in Court on your court date to see the Judge.

If you are under 18 years of age, you will be required to come before the Judge, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

If you are found guilty of a criminal offense or traffic violation, the Judge will set your fine.

Court Appearances

If you do not show up for your scheduled court date, the court may issue a warrant for your arrest. You will then be jailed and/or fined. Your license will be suspended by the Department of Safety for failure to appear and/or pay your citation.
