Our Mission

The Henderson County Emergency Management Agency will provide the leadership and support, through coordination with local officials and other stakeholders, to ensure that our county is prepared to respond to and recover from all natural and man-made emergencies and disasters so that we can reduce the loss of life and property and provide for continuity of critical services.

WHAT WE DO...

Henderson County EMA, as defined by Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 58-2-110, is the managing agency charged with coordinating responses to natural and man-made disasters within all areas of Henderson County, TN. This agency combines the local resources of Henderson County, the cities of Lexington, Parkers Crossroads, Sardis, and Scotts Hill, along with State and Federal resources, to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the effects of natural or man-made disasters, technological accidents, national security threats, and other incidents that could impact our communities.
